Y.A KNOW AWARENESS PROGRAM

A school or off campus based program for young men and women, created to educate youth on Values, Choices, and STD/HIV/AIDS. Students are actively involved in a 4 ½ week curriculum. Each four week session will begin with a pre-test(knowledge of what youth may already know), and a post test(what students have learned), and will end with a huge incentive for students who remain in the program. Students are required to attend all 4 sessions in order to complete the course. Throughout the four weeks, students are encouraged to be Peer Leaders, and will be responsible for keeping a weekly log, of their peers, with whom they have discussed values, choices, and STD/HIV/AIDS. The log must be signed by the peer, and adult leader or parent, and returned the following week. Incentives are given to those who complete his/her weekly log. Each four week session is facilitated by a professional facilitator, and may also include guest speakers from across the country. After completion of the course, students will walk away with a greater knowledge of themselves, better decision making, and STD/HIV/AIDS knowledge.

OH GIRL, CUT IT OUT ANNUAL 5K RUN

A run filled with inspiration, for those who have never ran a 5k, and for the well-seasoned. At each marker, women will peel off a piece of something that has been holding them back from being their best selves. At the start of the race, women will write down barriers, stick it to themselves, and unpeel, and throw it away, as they move closer to the finish line. A fun day filled with positive energy!
